When Atreus is fit again, it's back to the lift. The lake has undergone another water level change so all the remaining locations around the lake should now be accessible and the previous locations have more of them to reveal. You can explore them now or continue with the story. Exit the elevator and pick up the boat washed ashore. From there, head back to Tyr's Temple.

Once inside, have Atreus read the sand bowl to activate it. Have him read the runes engraved on the wall in front of the bowl. The platform begins its slow descent to the bottom of the temple. Once it stops, open the door in front and approach the center of the vault where the rune is located. It is protected by three rings, which you must deactivate by capturing the winds of Hel trapped in the rings and transferring them to three different locations in the vault.

Start by finding the cracked wall to hold on to. Climb up and go to the balcony. From there, go to the rune on the wall and have Atreus read it. Continue to the other end of the balcony, where you can knock off a chain that you can use to come down.

From there you should see a tunnel that leads to a room with a wind trap. Catch the wind from the outer ring and channel it into the porch in the small, circular space. This will reveal a gear. Turn the gear to open two gates leading to tunnels with deadly traps.

Before going straight to the tunnel in front of the gear, turn around and go to the other dead-end tunnel first. Switch to your Leviathan Ax and throw it on the plates above the large rotating blade trap to change its direction. Do the same with the other one so you can access the coffin at the end. From it, loot the solid Svartalfheim Steel. Go back to the previous room and this time take the other tunnel.

In this tunnel, the spinning blades move automatically, so you'll need to timing them past them. For the final set of blades, you need to freeze one of them, preferably as it moves to one of the sides and then waits for the other blade to pass, giving you a clear passage to the next room.

After you reach the next room, there will be a short cutscene. After the scene, you can examine the artifact on the table and then open the door that leads back into the main hall of the vault. This room has another wind trap so you basically have to repeat the process. Head back into the main hall and Realm Tears will appear and spit out enemies. Defeat them all, then catch the winds of Hel from the outer ring of the Vault Defense Mechanism and then transfer them to the Wind Trap in the previous room you are in.

Spin the gear again to open the gates to two more tunnels. Unlike the spinning blade traps, the spiked traps become instantaneousKillSo be very careful. Before heading to the main tunnel, we must first explore the other tunnel to the north. At the end of the tunnel is a Nornir chest. To unlock it you need to find and destroy three Seal Stones. The locations of the seals are listed below.

In the gear room, on a shelf near the tunnel with the spinning blades:

In the main tunnel with the spike traps from the ceiling. Look at the metal supports in the top right.

The final seal is near the Nornir chest. Go into the tunnel and peek left to see a gear on the side of the second spike trap. Freeze it with your axe, then control your movement as you traverse the spike traps. Turn around to find the final seal behind the frozen spike trap. You can use your blades' ranged attack to destroy it.

To get out of this tunnel, freeze the next spike trap, then carefully cross the other trap to return to the gear room. Take the other tunnel this time. Freeze the next spike trap while it's up, then go under it. There's an alcove on the right that you can roll into once the second spike trap goes up. Repeat the same for the third spike trap to safely pass through the dangerous tunnel and reach the next wind trap.

Have Atreus read the runes on the wall. Next, open the door again that leads back to the main hall. The Winds of Hel in the last, inner ring cannot be caught from below. Meanwhile, find the chain you ceded earlier and use it to climb back to the balcony. More enemies will appear, so get rid of them. Find the windtrap in the inner ring, capture it, and then immediately bring it to the outer ring's windtrap. This will allow you to reach it from below this time.

Go back downstairs, catch the wind and transfer it to the final wind trap in the other room. Use the gear to lower the runestone in the main hall. However, Kratos is ensnared by a trap. To free him you must order Atreus to solve the puzzle on the wall. You have to arrange it in this order: Moon, Midgard, Sun. To do this, proceed as follows:
pull right. (lower Midgard)
Drag center (sun, moon, moves left)
Pull left (moon sets)
Drag the center (sun goes all the way to the right)
pull right. (Midgard goes up)
Drag left (moon rises)

Doing this in order will move the symbols in order and disable the trap. However, the ordeal is not over yet. When the platform moves to the spiked ceiling, command Atreus to stop the chain to complete the sequence.

Once Kratos is freed, interact with the gate ahead and kick it down. With the black rune in range now, go down and approach the rune. You can successfully retrieve it after a short cutscene. However, there is one more task to complete: defeat the Vault Guardians.

Grendel of the Ashes and The Frost come alive at the same time. Don't be intimidated by them as they're pretty manageable or even weak at this point in the game, especially if you've upgraded your gear regularly. Their attacks can also damage each other, so it's easier to lure them into having their attacks hit each other. Atreus' Shock Arrows can also deal significant damage, especially when the two are together. Anyway, this fight shouldn't be a difficult challenge. Defeat them to reveal a legendary chest. Don't forget to pick up the loot they drop. (Tartarus Rage Rune Heavy Attack, Flame of Chaos, Svartalfheim Hardened Steel x3). Loot the Weightless Protection Grips from the Legendary Chest.

At this point, you're done in that location, so head back to the sand bowl and activate it to get out of the vault. After the scene, this chapter will be complete.
