God of War Guide: Cliffs of the Raven Walkthrough and Collectibles (2023)

ImGod of War, once you're free to explore all that the Lake of Nine has to offer, you'll likely head to the various towers and landmarks shrouded in mist throughout the water. Each of them has different objects, enemies and more to discover. We're going to break down what you can find in one of those places, theCliffs of the Raven, located south of Tyr's Temple.

After landing on the Cliffs of the Raven beach, you'll find several dead bodies that you don't need to worry about. However, if you activate thebrazierat the other end of the beach you will find tatzelwurm and several viken. Defeating them will free a spirit for themuncompleted taskliked and give you a reward for this quest.

To the left of the brazier, along the stone walls, you'll find this symbol under some wooden planks. Destroy these to create a path for Atreus to climb and drop a chain for Kratos. At the top of this cliff you will find a chest with oneMuspelheimer Chiffreand opposite you will find a corpse with aleave shipArticle.

Once the water drops off at the Cliffs of the Raven, you'll need to solve a short but mind-bending Winds of Hel puzzle to open aHexentruhe. The new beach at Cliffs of the Raven is just west ofVanaheim Tower.

OPENING THE NORNIR CHEST

As you make your way to the beach, you'll find a Winds of Hel door on your right. Ignore it for now - it's the last thing you'll be bothering about here. Instead, go left towards the gate. Pull down the gate with your chain and while still holding on to the chain, smash your ax through the three vines to access the Winds of Hel there. You won't be able to access it from here, so it's time to move on.

Go back to the boat and find the vines on the right. Destroy them and climb to the higher area. Once you are up there, turn left. You'll find that you can fall back down from here, but instead find the two small walls to climb up. When you're on a higher level, turn around and destroy the single vine, then make sure you grab the piece of itHacksilberhanging out in a little alcove.

Jump across the gap and position yourself correctly to destroy the three vines from this vantage point. Next you will notice aHexentruheand a handful of directions. Turn left and hop across the gap to climb into a new area. There you will find a rune, but you don't have your Winds of Hel yet. Instead, turn southeast and hop across the gap. Pack themHacksilberon the other side and climb up the chain.

At the top of this new cliff you'll find a chest with someHacksilberandWeltschlangenwaage, another rune and a path down to the original high water area of ​​Raven's Cliffs. Be warned, if you fall into this area you will be attacked by three Dark Elves.

Eliminate the elves and head north down this new path where you will encounter two Tatzelwurms to deal with. Once the beach is finally free of enemies, head all the way down the path to where you'll find the Winds of Hel. Before you grab it, climb up the small wall to the northwest to smash a chest fullHacksilber.

Strike the Winds of Hel with your Blades of Chaos, then make a beeline up the path and store the Winds on the rune right next to the big gate. Go through the newly opened gate, ignoring where you left the Winds of Hel for now, and keep going until you see some vines on your right that you can destroy with your axe. Open the gate and turn around and climb the wall on your right to get back to the Nornir chest.

Once back at the chest, hop forward the gap and climb the wall back to the first rune you encountered. In this area, jump over the gap and turn around so you're facing northwest. You can now see where you left the Winds of Hel. Grab it and place it on the rune and don't pull it out until it reaches the "P" symbol. Once the winds are back in your blades, head south to find a rune where you can place the winds for now. You will use this rune a few more times.

Climb back to the Nornir chest so you can grab the winds again. Once they're in your blade, run southwest to the nearest rune and pull the winch back out once the rune shows the "H" symbol on the side. Then place the winch back into the holder rune you just pulled it from.

Lastly, go back to the first rune, hop across the gap, climb up the chain, and then hop to the last rune. Once you're on the other side, turn around and grab the winch. Throw them into the rune and pull them out again once you reach the "R" symbol. Place the winch back in the holding rune one more time before tearing down the chain to the northwest that will lead you back to the Nornir chest. Finally, back at the chest, get aHorn of blood mead, which increases your maximum Rage after collecting three.

Once you've received your prize, there's one last thing to do. Grab the winch one last time and run northwest back towards the beach. Hop through the gap on your right, then turn southwest to find a holding rune to place the winch.

Once you've done that, jump down one level, grab the winch, and then keep running northwest toward the beach. Once there, throw the Winds of Hel at the door to open it and reveal a chest containing theGrasps of the Cursed Flame, a legendary pommel for the Chaos Blades.
